Had a Halloween party... we all dressed up like mechanics for the day!

Agreed, that is a sweet building Josh. What size is it? My 24x36 is already getting tight. Unfortunately I'll have to rob a bank to upsize and that could result in a few years of not getting to use it.

Thanks guys, it's only 40x60 ha ha. As I tell everyone I sold a jeep to be able to afford it but am glad I did now. It's also just a pole barn aka a giant metal tent, which here in the PNW is gold this time of year but when it's 40* outside, it's 40* in there so you gotta be ready mentally from time to time. Beats the heck out of doing it in the driveway though!

Sweet. My ideal is a 40x80 on a few acres of woods. Put everything inside. Mine came with Reflectix type insulation (huge rolls of it) and it works pretty well. It may be worth looking into for yours someday but it's a lot easier to put in on the frame before the outer walls go up.

Ya 40x80 would be nice, I was limited by my fence line in the back so 60 was it. With the pole barn construction it would be easy for me to insulate the inside from the inside but I also have a 20' wide and 14' tall sliding door at each end because I wanted to be able to open them both up and have an indoor/outdoor feel to the building, so insulating seems silly. I also don't have the money to do any thing more to the shop (which includes finishing the bathroom I already started) thanks to van upgrades ha ha.

Thumps up on the nice "Metal Tent" : )
My wife and I were looking at some property across the river in the Naselle Washington area to put something about that size up and slip our big home on wheels (43ft 5th wheel we live in full time) in and have sort of a house-in-a-house. Pondering. We know we will end up across the river at some point, just need to find the right spot for it all. For now i'll remain soggily content looking at the 6th hole of the golf course out the kitchen window.

Hahahaha! That's funny!

Sure enjoyed the party, so did the van. And real mechanics don't give up when the power goes out in a storm.

Ha ha nope.

Accrete - that's a killer idea, it would definitely be more comfortable and you would have a "home base" to store things. If you ever wanna come check it out and get a feel for the size and bare minimum status it holds let me know.
