Wiring Power Towing Mirrors - Need Help

Over the weekend I swapped my OEM side mirrors from my 1998 E350 Club Wagon out for a brand new set of tow mirrors.

I followed directions in previous posts on here to make the proper modifications for a secure fit. No issues there.

I am confused on what to do with the wiring. The new mirrors have 4 wires. The old ones, 3. I want swap the connector from the old onto the new so that I can maintain the factory anchoring and not have buried and spliced wires.

I have marked up a couple of photos here. Can any help tell which wire goes to what?

I am afraid of damaging something if I wire it incorrectly.

Thank you!!

Just match up the "closest" colors. I.e. yellow to yellow, red to red (with purple... leave those double wires connected to each-other), blue to green. If you get it wrong, the worst that happens is the mirror doesn't move the direction you move the switch. Then you just swap wires until the movements match.

I might have an actual power mirror schematic--you're swapping in OEM tow mirrors onto your '98 body is that correct?

Are the tow mirrors Ford OEM and what year?
