A little Help...

I am hoping that someone can post a couple of pics of the underbody battery box mounting. I have two factory boxes but would like to see how the factory mounted them. I am going to move my underhood batt. to the frame and mount a second batt. as well.

Re: A little Help...

Bones, I'm guessing you mean the starting batteries. So here's a couple pics from my van.

Re: A little Help...

My bad, when you commented factory I wrongly assumed SMB not Ford. I'll delete my post, but didn't someone just post about adding a second starting battery on the frame rails?

Re: A little Help...

Thanks, those are the ones I needed. I have two boxes just like those and wanted to see where they were mounted. I am also adding AMP power steps so I have that to deal with as well.

Re: A little Help...

Bones,

I forgot to mention it, but you can see the straps that look like little ground straps in the pictures - they are there to stop the battery box from falling on your head when you remove the last bolt holding the box onto the frame.

Reasonably important.
