Accessory fuse???

Hey Guys,

I was running a inverter in my accessory 12 volt dash (cigar lighter plug) outlet and I blew the fuse I believe. I checked online schematics and for my 2006 E 350 it looks like the fuse is number 23. Number 23 is listed as cigar lighter and data link connector. My scan gauge II stopped working as well once the lighter stopped working. I pulled the fuse and it looks fine. I even tried swapping in fuse 22 just to test it. The Scan Guage never came back and neither did the lighter. What am I missing? Ideas?

OBDII port and lighter are on the same fuse - try 26.

Baja has this correct---yy printed EVTM for that year chassis shows fuse F2.26 for DLC, Cigar Lighter etc; F2.32 protects the Power Point. Both are 20 amp, located in the Central Junction Box or inside fuse box.

Thanks guys so much! It was fuse 26! I looked online and the schematic showed 23! I really appreciate everyone taking the time to respond.

If you do most or all your own electrical work I strongly suggest the appropriate year EVTM---its pretty much invaluable for things like this.

I haunt eBay for these type manuals Jim, to wit: 2006 Ford E Series Van Electrical Wiring Diagrams Service Manual | eBay. I've bought several manuals from this seller, they're top notch and tend to be very well stocked on this sort of thing.

Another option is this set: 2006 Ford E Series Econoline Factory Repair Service 3 Manual w Wiring | eBay which has the mechanical service portions included. Its a bit beat up IMHO but the price is great.
