Battery Box and Solar Charging

I'm having an issue with my battery box not charging from my portable solar panel.

I'm using two 6V 210 AH AGM batteries that I connected together to create a 12v system. I installed a quick disconnect wire to use with my portable solar panel, the quick disconnect wire is connected via ring terminals on terminals shown below.

For some reason the solar panel will not charge using the quick disconnect, only via alligator clips. The quick disconnect wire works fine, its actually being used right now on my trickle charger since we haven't had a lot of sun lately.

I've used the battery, the quick disconnect wire, and the panels (has its own solar controller) before and they all work. I don't mind using the alligator clips but it makes the cover of the box not as secure and I'm worried my dog might lick the battery terminals or something like that lol.

Any ideas? I'm very new to electrical stuff.

Long shot - check to see if the wires on the quick disconnect are reversed. Another would be they are connected to one battery??

Attached some photo's of the wiring and the solar controller.

I'm not familiar with the company, I won it at the overland rally.

The wires with the heat shrink are the quick disconnect. You can see that it is currently plugged into my trickle charger which is working. It was at 75% earlier today, after several hours it's almost fully charged. The smaller gauge wires with the electrical tape is connected to my rocker panel.

The lower terminals are where the two 6V's are connected together.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong .

So, need to see quick connect side of the solar controller and the alligator clip accessory. It would seam someone is switching polarity. Which device did the quick connect come with?

So the quick disconnect that is attached to the battery terminals didn't come with any device, I ordered it separately (photo attached). I do have spare one that came with the trickle charger that I can swap out to see if that fixes it. The alligator clip accessory did come with the solar panel though. I can take a picture when I get home of the wire connection to the solar controller.

Another thing I noted, not sure if it's related but when I unplugged my trickle charger last light at 97%, this morning I had found the battery at 88%.
