Battery Hold Down for EB350 7.3L

I just recently ordered a tray to replace my missing passenger frame rail battery, i also ordered a battery hold down (it was on the parts diagram). However I cant not figure out how the battery hold down is supposed to work or attach to the battery tray. Does anyone have any pictures, or could take a few pictures of their frame rail battery? Also, if you have any pictures of your engine mounted battery hold down, that would be swell too. I discovered my battery is just kinda sitting there.

Also, bonus if you have or take a picture of how the battery cover is secured to the tray. I see holes for screws or a clip, but no clue whats actually supposed to go there.

Thanks!!!

The battery hold downs for both engine and frame are wedge shaped hard plastic pieces that are secured via a long thin bolt to a captured nut in the bottom of the tray. It wedges against the inside of the box and the battery while pressing down on a protruding edge on the side battery case near the bottom. It is rather blind in installation, not easy and the bolt can cross thread w the nut.

Cover for frame mounted battery box is a plastic half clam shaped piece that is secured by screws in clips on the box.

I will dig around for some pictures.

Thanks. I tracked down some photos on the internet. My tray (which was brand new) does not have the clips on the side for screws to be screwed in to hold the cover in place. Sigh.

What should the engine battery tray look like because im not really sure how the same wedge would hold my battery in place.

Ah, i found how the engine battery gets retained.

Thanks for the pointers!

It seems the frame rail mount bolts are 10mm.
Just need to figure out how to attach the cover, may just use bolt and nut, since i dont have the clip for the screws (nor the screw themselves lol).

My van was well taken care of by the previous owners (two) except for the electical system. its a bit of a horror show lol.
