Bosch Relay Sockets
I'm looking for relay sockets like this:
Quote:
one problem is that most places that sell them don't know that there is a connector with a mounting tab right on it. This makes it easy to replace a questionable relay. There is a slot on the side that enables you to mount several together!

Here's the webpage. Any one know where to get these?

Allied Electronics:

I don't think they have a minimum order.

Well I bought 10 sockets and they are unwired. They're just molded plastic with no contacts.
I also bought a mix of 8 relays... none of which fit the sockets for different reasons...
I'm about to call allied and get some guidance.

I would expect those sockets to only fit Bosch style 5 pin relays. Surprised by the lack of contacts. Hopefully they sell the contacts also.

Yeah, this was supposed to be the easy way. Allied attributed my order by area code, so it went to a sales rep in Indiana but then shipped it to Colorado. Now they're claiming I can't return it without approval from Indiana but I have to return it through the Colorado office. I've entered my second day of waiting for a response.
The purchase agreement states I have 10 days to submit a "written notice of rejection. Customer waives any right to reject or revoke acceptance thereafter."
At this point I just want to get an RMA, return it all and go with a different company that is less painful.
I forgot I tried to order from Allied Electronics once before. Their website doesn't give you shipping charges (hello 1992 technology?) before submitting your credit card, and so I proceeded with the order against my better judgement only to learn they don't give you shipping charges AFTER submitting your credit card either. You pretty much have to wait until you get your order (I got my shipping charges this time 3 hours before the package came- one in USPS the other UPS).
The first time I immediately cancelled the order so I didn't go through any of the rest of this. Maybe I'll remember next time to not order from them.

Yes, the SMB installed Hellas + 2 other sets, plus whatever the wife will let me put on the Jeep. Plus I'm always doing weird things with wiring that take the 87a output...
I just thought the sockets would make for easy centrally located wiring as I have all the switches in both vehicles... kind of like the bottom end of an S-pod without the switches.
