cab interior lights only go on when the door is open

I believe I used to be able to switch on the lights inside the cab on the ceiling using the little buttons right next to it. Now, It only goes on when I open the door. its got to be something easy. Any ideas?

The lights come on on a timer from the door, or by turning your headlight knob to the left completely. The buttons on the ceiling only turn the lights off. At least that is how mine works- who knows what the PO did.

Twist the knob that controls the headlights. That should do the trick.

Wiring for 2008 Van dome light

I have a 2008 van. If your wiring is similar to mine, you have a loose connection.

My picture below has the van side wires on the right and light wires coming in from the left.

The Black van wire is Ground and should connect to the White Wires from the light.

The Green Striped van wire is Power and should connect to the Black wire from non labeled side of the light.

The Black Striped van wire is Door Open (Valet) and should connect to the Black wire from JUNCO labeled side of the light.

In addition, your lights should turn on when the dimmer switch is turned completely counter clockwise until it clicks.

Good luck.
