cab over running lights

Anyone with recommendations on putting running lights on cab roof in front of the pop-up penthouse? Plenty of info on the web regarding different running lights to purchase but just thought I'd post on the forum. I figure the standard look of a set of 5 ... and then there's LED vs. regular.

SMB starting my van so I guess I'll have them do it but I don't really know what pitfalls I should look out for other than holes drilled in roof ......

go LED for sure. Better life, and less draw on the batteries if you need to keep them on for a while w/out engine running.

+1 on the LED's. Much more efficient and way less power draw. One of the first things we did when we took delivery was to change all the lights we can with LED's.

Also you can check out Blackeye's Rig. He's got front LED markers on his front and rear roof racks.

Hope you don't mind me using your image Blackeye!

Sorry for the ignorance, but what are cab running lights really for? Visibility? Cool factor?

I did a quick google search and didn't really see anything. Help educate me
