Wow, when did SMB quit using momentary PH switches? Seems like a poor move not to have that type of switch unless there is some kind of current limiter. Even with a push button switch I managed to bend my bars when the rear hook caught the latch hole. I now turn the hook so it can't or has less of a chance of grabbing.
I'll clarify: First, I have a CCV top, and it does have a momentary rocker switch. As it came, anyone could just hit the switch to see if it is a lightswitch, food dispenser, or disco ball strobe. Obviously with the latches in place this "sorry Daddy, I just touched it for a second to see what it does" could destroy things in a hurry. To alleviate this, I installed a SECOND single pushbutton momentary switch that provides power to the rocker. In other words, you have to hold in the push button while activating the rocker up or down.
