Do you have a center channel speaker for surround? DNX8120

Just installed the Kenwood DNX8120 partly from reading recommendations from this thread. Great system so far. Really had to hack away to install in my 2001 though.

I noticed without a center speaker my movies don't sound as good. I'm using all pre-outs with amps so have great sound, but no center as yet.

Where do you guys have a center installed and what kind? Is it powered? Do you like it?

Side Note:

I was able to change the background and start screens to my own pictures. Gives it a real personal touch. I was also able to copy all topo maps from my Garmin Colorado 400T for use in the 8120. Thanks Mattlanning for the idea and the link.

Re: Do you have a center channel speaker for surround? DNX8120

We do not have a center channel in our SMB.

We have the TV running into an Aux-in for the Alpine head unit (there is a switch to allow a dash input or the TV as aux), and this seems to work pretty well. Our DVD player is part of the TV. We have watched a number of movie via DVD and from Satellite TV, and have not noticed any sound quality issues. I do think I remember seeing a center channel adjustment on the the Alpine, but I don't know how it will affect the sound quality.
