Door swap and electrics

Ok people,
I have been trying to figure this one out for about 4 days on and off. I have an 03’ with power and keyless entry and I bought a 11’ door with power. First attempt was successful with speakers and mirrors no problem. Second attempt I blew a fuse for the windows. Third attempt I got windows working for both sides (driver door 11’ and passenger door 03’). I still can’t figure out the door locks. Seems like it would be easy. I have both wiring diagrams for them but can’t seem to get it to work. Any input is welcome. I do have a backup plan if I can’t get it to work.

I’ll try to get it edited enough to put out. Also I came accross a small hiccup with the hinges. I’ll touch base on that too.

Was hoping for a bit more info on the wiring aspect, you glanced over that pretty quickly.

Looking for more info to make this mod easier for everyone that is not a electrical wizard.

I posted this in another forum here and am hoping to get some expert info.

I responded to the other thread. But it’s different for every van. Every option and every year most likely has different colors. But I can try to help.

Resurrecting a bit of an old thread here, but this was very helpful with my 2009 door panel swap to my 2004 van.

I bought the panels on eBay, then the switches from Ford directly. Ended up also buying door wiring harnesses as well just to get the connectors. So all in this was a bit expensive but oh well.

Anyway - I realize that different years and configurations will vary, but thought I’d post my findings here. I finally resorted to a 72 hour subscription to Mastercraftservice.com to get the wiring diagrams. Here’s what worked for me:

Driver Side

Windows:
1 - R/Y = driver down to white/black
2 - Black to all black
3 - G/LG = passenger down to Brown/blue
4 - blank
5 - blue = driver up to Yellow
6 - blank
7 - green/lg power to red/blue
8 - Cream/Green = passenger up to white/yellow

Door Locks:
New Purple to pink/grey
New Grey to pink/yellow
Black ground
New Blue to red/blue

Passenger Side

1 - green/orange to brown/blue
2 - purple to red/yellow
3 - green/blue to red/blue (power)
4 - blank
5 - white/orange to yellow/red
6 - brown/yellow to white/yellow

Door Locks:
Purple to pink/grey
Grey to pink/yellow
Black ground
Blue tapped to red/blue 12v

Power mirrors:
New to old:

#1 BK to BK
#2 Y/VT right mirror up to VT
#3 GY/RD power to OG/LG
#4 not used
#5 BU/GN left up to BU
#6 GY common to YE
#7 BN/GN right mirror right to DG
#8 BN/GN left mirror right to RD

The only thing that’s off is the passenger side mirror which is reversed up/down. Doesn’t bother me.

Hope it helps someone else!
