Gallery of "creative and colorful" electrical existances

Here's a place to share those photos of electrical challenges and disturbing conditions encountered.

I'll start with "House battery of the Dungeon"
(new to me 20 year old van - to be expected I suppose)

Wow! That's rough.. surprised, as it seemed your van was in pretty good shape! Does that battery still do anything?

Pretty colors on that positive terminal though!

I guess I can't complain too much about how mine came, yes, that is lamp cord for wiring.

That's the same battery?!

Here's what the wiring looked like on my first van - a lot going on in there...

Yup...same battery...fingers crossed....What is the yellow wired square "patch that looked like it might have been stuck on the outside of the battery? Its about 2"x3" and says "Trace"

Is it a over temp sensor for the charger/inverter?????

Not anything crazy, but had my rear wheel off today and noticed that my house battery ground cable was looking a bit toasty (it exits the van floor near the wheel well). Installed a new cable, cleaned up the mounting point, and good to go.
