House battery help
Agreed Dave, I wasn't bashing your advice, or Ultrasport's by any means. A 3500 watt inverter is a big hungry one. I was just pointing out that it can be done if dialed in correctly. I actually think I'm pretty lucky. Several gurus on the tech forum over at Woodall's Open Roads Forum ( a really great place to get advice IMO) told me my (proposed) system would never work, but it has and better than I thought. I actually screwed up early on and let my batteries drop to about 10.5 on 2 separate occasions, but they're still kicking right along.
I think your advice for a smaller, stand alone fridge inverter is a good one. I had a cheap Cobra that worked very well for that before the Tripplite, but it was LOUD!
