I plan on installing a powerful stereo system in my rig. Should I hook the amps to my house batteries consisting of 2 Lifeline 4Ds or hooking it to the main battery?
I have thought about the pros and cons of both options but would like to get your thoughts.

Has to be the "House Batteries" if you want to listen to it while camping...

A powerfull stereo will have a powerfull draw on the battery, so connecting it to the house batterys will assure you don't drain the start battery after a long night of partying in the woods. You might also consider having the ability to turn off the amps while camping if you want to extend the time between recharges. I look forward to seeing (hearing) your set-up. Rock on...........
I added a switch to my subwoofer amp. I really only use the sub-amp while driving. It will suck down your battery reserves fairly quickly depending on the amp when parked and I have no solar input. Even when parked and using the stereo system inside as a surround sound, the subwoofer adds too much bass IMO so shutting it down is easier than messing with the stereo controls and doing so saves a lot of energy. When camped and listening to the stereo around the campfire it also seems the sub woofer amp isn't needed but YMMV on that. If I had an outside speaker system it might be a different story. Gotta have tunes though.
