On my van the "welcome" (perimeter) lights come on night and day; anytime any door is opened or closed.

Thanks for the info.
I'm from the era when they were known as Parking Lights.
Humble apologies to all.

Re: keytothestone:

"...solution was simply too super glue the tab sensors then shut the doors to let the glue dry in the closed position. It totally works and very simple. I thought he was a genius. He did it about a year ago and still holding up. I plan on doing this at least to the barn doors. What could be the harm? Not the most ideal fix but it seems to work."

That is a nice work-around though! That would do the trick.

My 2010 Ford E150 based RV has "sticker" tire pressures of 55 psi in the front and 80 psi in the rear. These are quite a bit above the pressures recommended by Michelin for my tires and vehicle weight and make for a very harsh ride. (I weighed the vehicle on a CAT scale at a truck stop.) The Michelin recommended pressures are 42 for the front and 50 for the rear. Lowering the pressures to the recommended values greatly improves the ride. However the TPMS constantly indicates low tire pressures. Looking at the the GEM/SJB using FORScan I see that there are parameters for front and rear tire pressures (Front Tire Placard Pressure and Rear Tire Placard Pressure). When I select these for Edit I get the message "Only use this parameter to raise the tire placard pressure setting to a value higher than the CURRENT setting. The currently programmed pressure setting will be the lowest available value." Does this mean I cannot reset the TPMS limits to lower values and have to put up with the TPMS warning?

I contacted the ForsScan team and they sent me a revision of the program that allowed me to to disable the Welcome Illumination (Dark Car also has to be enabled) on my 2010 E150. It looks like location 726-08-01 is changed from 0A42 (as built) to 063E. It is wonderful to finally be rid of this unwanted feature! Let darkness reign!

I finally got around to using ForScan to modify the TPMS trigger values. I changed the front tire pressure from 55 to 45 and the rear from 80 to 55 (Michelin recommended 42 and 50 for the weighed axle weights for my van). I inflated the tires to 50 (front) and 60 (rear). Everything seems (so far) to work fine. No TPMS warning, the readings from the tire pressure sensors show the expected values and the ride is a whole lot better. The GEM.SJB address 726-02-01 was changed from the "As-Built" value of 3750 to 2D37.

Finally got around to this as well. Ordered an $18 cable off Amazon, and the most difficult part was waiting for Forscan to activate my account so I could request a free 2-month extended license (required to change configurations). Thanks for sharing this info!
Embrace the darkness...

I haven't read the whole thread so forgive me if this has been mentioned. In case you ever needed to turn off the TMPS (like an extra set of tires with no sensors), you can do so in Forscan.

Same line where you change pressure settings:
726-02-01 .... 03E0-3C50-00

(for those who haven't seen Forscan yet)
The 726-02-01 is the module and address, in this case the GEM or Smart Junction Box module

In the first group, if you change 03E0 to 03A0, you turn off TPMS

(the second group is the pressure setting...which has been discussed)
