Improved Driving Lights for 08-14 E350?

My '14 has the composite euro-style lights which look like they'd throw out tons of light but are actually surprisingly dim.

A couple threads discuss improved bulbs for the sealed beam style as well as pre-2008 headlamps but has anybody heard of any options for the composite headlamps?

Some folks seem to have little square rigid LED's or HID bulbs built into the aftermarket bumpers. Does anybody use those on-road to supplement the stock headlights? Or would that just blind oncoming traffic?

Thanks for any ideas.

These appear to get some good reviews. The price is for 1 headlight, so your total would be $360 for the pair.

Those look great but I've got this style of lights and not the old school ones. Any sense whether they would work with these?

Oh, I thought you had the other style. Yes, get some projectors retrofitted in and you will be set.

Cool thanks I had seen the thread but didn't realize he was doing these types of lights as well. Will hit him up - much appreciated.

Can someone post a picture of how the projectors are retrofitted into the housing? How is the plastic housing supporting the projector assembly?

Most are mounted with a threaded shaft that goes into the hole where the bulb originally goes. The shroud covers everything. Sometimes you have to shape the back end of the shroud to fit the curve of the headlight.
