Herb, are you talking about the light "ring" around the center control button assembly?

If so, hit the left and right buttons at the same time a few times and they'll eventually turn off. Then put electrical tape over the "power" and "1080p' lights. Hope that helps.
No, that's the HDTV receiver we have in the living room. We have the basic receiver in the bedroom which just has a single blue LED.

Had some spare time today, so I decided to add some power outlets to the doghouse. I used the described outlets, but took them out of the bezel they come with.





The USB is mostly used to keep the GoPro cam and WiFi module of the cam charged. The outlets are powered always hot, fused of course. To still be able to remove the doghouse I used an AMP Super Seal connector accessible behind the passenger side knee pad.
