Inverter Wiring - are 2 25 amp inputs the same as 1 50 amp?

Each circuit in the fuse box wired to the house battery of my e350 diesel has a max load of 30 amps and I want to wire in an inverter that’s supposed to be protected with a 50 amp fuse. I don’t want to run any more wire directly to the house battery. Option one would be to run a line with a 50 amp inline fuse from the hot terminal on the fuse box to the inverter. Option two, which is my preferred option, is to run two 25 amp circuits to the inverter. I’d run one set of a hot and a ground from the fuse box to the inverter with a 25 amp fuse and then run a second hot and cold from the fuse box to the inverter, also with a 25 amp fuse. Would this work? Are two 25 amp lines equivalent to one 50 amp line? It seems to me that the worst case scenario would be one or both fuses would blow.

Two 25A circuits are not the same as one 50A circuit. While it might seem they should be, in reality one circuit will always have slightly less resistance and take more current - when that fuse blows, the other one will also blow.

You could take one of the 25A circuits, change the fuse to 50A and double up the wiring to make your 50A circuit.

The fuse box is only rated for 30 amps per circuit so I can't use any fuses over 30 amps.

The separator is underneath the van and I'm trying not to put any more holes for wires in the floor, but the separator connection is a possibility. Thanks for the idea!
