Many people will say a PWM is fine for 200 watts or less, but I'd like to try a MPPT for myself.
I hope to order a reasonably priced MPPT soon...
As for shore power, I'm clueless. I have a plain battery (agm) 10 amp charger for those days I visit Freinds who let me plug in.

This is the fridge I would use. It would give you a fridge and freezer section. I had a smaller one in suv running non stop without problem. They always score high in comparison test with the name brands and beats most of them. This place is the best price:

I recently purchased an Indel B fridge (Indel-B Travel Box 50 Liter Fridge Freezer). It works great and I believe is comparable to the ARB, but a few hundred dollars less.

Truck fridge sells the same model but with a different logo. TruckFridge Model: TF51 - Portable Model

The only thing is that it is hinged on the short side of the lid, so the lid takes some space to open up. I don't think you can change it over to the long side.

That's a huge b-tch. I personally wouldn't want to be bunk mates with it in such a small space.
The Engel I have is 25.5 x 14.3 x 20 inches and that borders on large for me... most of the time I have a hard time keeping it filled.

Sounds like the 1000W will cover your needs, I put in the 1000W xantrex prowatt with a remote on/off that powers a dedicated outlet, works great, no micro but we're able to power our nutri-bullet for smoothies on the road. I would take a look at the blue sky sun charger 30 PWM charge controller, or the 3000i for MPPT, had a Morningstar crap out on me that I replaced with the SC30

Rick, is that 3000i user programmable for bulk, absorption and float?

I would like to find a MPPT that is so I can really juice up my batteries.

I'd also suggest a good inverter/shore charger...the solar controller is on its own and is banked with the inverter/charger. I have 2-135w panels. One thing I do like about my inverter/charger is the control panel shows me the charge rate in amperage. It doesn't replace my standalone DC monitor, but helps at times.

IMO having about 20% more battery reserves over your peak daily load is valuable especially in places that are frequently overcast. Factoring in that, how cold weather affects battery power, and typical lifespans of batteries is worth looking into. Toward the end of a batteries life they tend slowly hold what they did as new. It's nice not having to worry about dropping into the red zone in the early morning.
I'm using two 210ah batteries which is a bit on the high side but I like the fact I can run my MW for limited times w/o having to run the motor along with other nightly loads going on. Usually there is a PC, stereo and/or some kind of monitor on if I'm not reading. When cold I run the Espar D-4 all night & Hydronic for a couple hours prior to sun up.
