"Confinance"? Is that where you convince someone else to pay for improvements to your Sportsmobile?

Sounds like a word coined by the banks during the bank bailouts.

I fear the glass panels I have will be broken by something one day. I already lost one to a CB antenna.

Only time will tell but I sure hope so. These panels only come with a "24 month warranty", (I think they think that sounds better then 2 years), same as the Solara. More traditional panels come with up to 20 years but I heard that only applies if fixed to a solid structure like a house. Many of these warranties may be void if they found out the panels have been on the roof of a vehicle. At least that's what I read on some other forums.
I will keep you posted on their performance.

PM me if you have questions. I learned a lot on this install and would be happy to pass that along.
Cheers,
John

Nice install. Let's hope you never have to get access to your PH fasteners!

I'm not worried about that, I have total access to those fasteners from the inside with no need to disturb the seal on the top. Here is the post on how they work. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7781

New solar panels for our rig
Ouch, glad I supported you buying that Door Talon this month. Just 59 more sales and you're covered!

Re: New solar panels for our rig
John, just wondering how the new panels are doing. My Solara just died and I have to come up with something different. You sure did a sweet install.

John, Are your panels still working great? I assume you don't notice any wind noise from the channel material used under the panels. Is the under panel material uv resistant? Seems line the channel plastic could get brittle over time and with exposure to freezing temperatures and ice. Thanks for an update when you can!
