Portable panels not connecting to van through external port

I have brand-new Zamp portable solar panels. When they are set up and plugged into the external port on the van they indicate that there is no current moving into the van. I have tested the panels and they are active. Van is new, so is there something I'm missing?
Thanks
Ron
Zamp panels, Zamp controller, Zamp external port.
The controller on the panel says there is power, but no connection when plugged in. Multi meter indicates power in the line.

I figured it would be plug and play, but it's not happening.

A little more info would help. What panels and you said indicate so what type of a controller/monitor are you using? How did you test? Do you know where the plug's hot wire ends at?

My external solar port bus wire runs to the controller so I see a jump at the display when plugged in and the panel is in good sun. If it didn't work I'd be looking at all the easy stuff first like making sure the wire from the plug hasn't been compromised. Loose connections, possible fuses...stuff like that.

Maybe a breaker or fuse somewhere inline between the panel and controller is off?

Is the solar controller actually connected to a battery?

I have looked at the fuses and don't see anything wrong. In searching for a connection that wasn't made I saw a yellow wire with a crimp fitting on the end. It comes from the region of the exterior port

I believe so, the Zamp controller in the van shows current voltage and battery status.

Thanks. I'm Zamp to Zamp. I am beginning to think it is a connection not made inside the van

Do you also have roof mounted solar panels?

I ask because my van has roof mounted panels, but also has the external connection port for remote panels. I have a switch, on the wall just behind the drivers head, that charges from the roof panels when in the "on" position and from the remote panels when in the "off" position. Maybe you have a similar switch that needs to be adjusted?
