replacing florescent w/LED??

Having read this topic:

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2132

and performing googles and perusing the LED sites, I am still not sure what LED bulbs to get to replace the florescent bulbs (F15T8 and F8T5) in my Thin-light fixtures. The G4 replacements seem the closest but the bulbs I am looking to replace are different (end pins sizes and spread). Also, does the ballast have to be removed too?

Has anybody replaced theirs? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Re: replacing florescent w/LED??

My best thought has been to strip the fixture and manually pack it with LED boards or whatever seems appropriate in size. I believe the ballast and the end clips cannot be used because they are specific to florescent.

There was (possibly in the thread you mentioned) some link to an eBayer selling replacement LEDs for trailer lights. They looked similar but I think were a smaller footprint.
