Shore power not connecting

Need some help figuring out why my shore power won't connect.
I'm guessing it has something to do with inverter(Xantrex).
Is there something I need to reset on the inverter?
Help appreciated.

Are you plugging into a GFI outlet at home?

Re: Shore power not connecting

Does the units charge mode work off shore power or is it also dead. Does the inverter invert 12v w/o shore power? It would help to post the model and whether or not there is a remote.

"Ralph"-Here is what happened. I just had it checked out at a RV place and everything was working. I charged it over night and then left on a trip. That evening I plugged in at an RV park and it would not show any "in" power coming in or charging. The 12 volt system works fine. It charged as I drove the next day and solar panels charge.
I pulled the phone cord to the remote panel and then replugged it in. Got no change. I disconnected the Xantrex 2000 from the house battery and replugged it in and got no change.
I've tested the GFI plug. All 12 volt items working and inverter is working(the microwave light is on).

Sounds like the AC coming in has been opened up but there is a reset toggle on the unit itself. I'd try that first. Is it possible that was turned off by the shop? I also noticed SMB used romex wire feeding it. While solid wire might be a good choice to connect to 110 outlets, stranded wire is better using soldered lugs when needed because it handles vibration better. They make voltage detector pens that will tell you what is hot and what's not w/o having to use a voltmeter. Makes for quicker troubleshooting. Follow from the inverter Romex in to the source since you're already in there.

Good luck. The prosine inverters are not the best and have been known to fail...I'm on my second.

Re: Shore power not connecting

Make sure your house batteries have a charge. When my house batteries were dead my inverter/charger would not power on and shore power was not available.
