Star Cool Back Condenser Fan Bowing Fuse

I have a 2006 E250... My back condenser fan continues to blow the 20amp fuse. The other night there was a burning electrical smell coming from the area of the fan. When I replace the fuse it immediately pops. Do I just need to replace the fan or is it possibly another issue?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Your fan is probably seized, either under the van or in the front. Exact same thing happened to me. My wiring actually started smoking. There are some threads on the forum with more details. I posted the model number of the fans I bought.

There was also another thread about installing it, reversing the polarity of the leads, etc. if I have a minute today I'll try to find it for you.

Two other threads to look at:

http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/for...use-13560.html

http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/for...ion-10309.html

BTW, there are quite a few threads on this exact issue, even ones with the exact title of the new thread you started. Better to search and find those, before starting a new thread. Just add your new question there and people will see it.
