My odometer was about to turn 86000 and stopped last weekend at 85999.Was moving that direction and just stopped so did the trip odometer.
Has anyone had this happen?
This happened on my 1969 MG Midget. It was a broken speedo cable. I realize this is no help to you.
Your issue may be due to a broken or disconnected wire or sending unit.

Have had 2 do that. FIrst at 99,999 and stuck there for a couple of months. Ford replaced it under warranty with an entire cluster with a tach.
Second went rolling over to 200,000. The local dealer replaced it under warranty but without the tach. Only a couple of miles till this one rolls to 300,000 so we will see if it happens again.
