The 7 pin trailer outlet has no "Hot" on the hot t

Ok, finally got my brake controller all plugged up and all the dozen side projects that came with taking apart the dash ready to button up, an I go to calibrate the brake controller before putting the lower dash back on and whaddyaknow it doesn't work.

The brake controller is fine, the problem is that in the 7 pin plug the power wire isn't hot. It looks like SMB work (or factory moved to the Aluminess) so I'm wondering if anyone has been through this (I saw a ton of posts and questions on the net when looking for the brake controller wires).

The running lights work, ground works, left and right signals work. The power (12V+) is dead. So I'm thinking that the power was never hooked up, whereever it is one attaches these things.

Didn't test the reverse and I can't test the brake wire until I get power.

Any ideas? Where do I look apart from starting at the back and tracing wiring?

Ok, last night I remembered something about the Ford factory setup has a relay socket that needs to have a relay. That's proably whats missing.

Yup, there is a relay that Ford supplies in a plastic baggie. It goes in the Power Distribution box under the hood (passenger side front). I used a generic relay from Blazer without the 87a pin because 87a was empty so it wasn't worth a "good" relay.
