The devil has taken over my door locks

So, the other day I came back to my van to find the doors unlocked. I wrote it off to forgetting to lock them, but it sure seemed strange. The next time I tried to use the door switch to unlock them, they wouldn't. Manually pulling up the rod unlocked them one by one, and then I could lock them all with the door button. Next, the remote locked them all, but they immediately unlocked them selves. WTF? After a bunch of research it now seems to me that the security module that controlls the doors and interior lights has shat the bed. Unfortunately, it's located in the side wall, behind all the built in cabinets. It looks like I'll have to remove the cabinets on the entire drivers side to gain access, unless I can pinpoint exactly where it is, and cut an access hole without cutting any wires. For now, pulling the fuse will assure the doors won't be unlocking themselves any time soon, but it's a real pain to manually lock all four doors. I'd love to hear some ideas on what else the problem may be, or how to replace the module without tearing the van apart......................A/T

Yea, like camping, going to races, 4 wheeling in Moab etc. Not chasing stupid electrical faults.

I would first do a cleansing ritual with Sage Smudge and be glad you don't have TPMS. Demons love TPMS.

That RKE module is a bugger to get at. You could always take the sawzall and go in from the outer wall of the van, but the cleanup is a little more involved.

The cabinets and walls are not in my rig, 2002 E350 EB, at the moment. Will take photos and measurements the RKE location tomorrow. It is right behind the drivers seat.

That would be great, thanks. I wonder if it's in the same place on my RB? If I could be certain of the location, I might cut a hole in the back of the cabinet. Thanks again...

So, mine has done the same thing twice in 10 years. Lock with remote and they immediately unlock. Repeat over and over and over with same results. What seems to get mine out of this funk is go to the rear door lock button and toggle it up and down a few times and all is good again. It is the weirdest thing and I don't understand it.

Does your rear door have a power lock button? Every time mine have gone possessed its because something was pushing the rear door button.
