Re: Van will not start!

JFYI the crash kill switch is down there...at least on mine. If you ever hit a hard bump the switch can trip and kill the engine. But it's up high enough that somebodies foot won't get into it. I had thought about that but I think it works off impact. Didn't sound like you were wheeling.
Glad you got er goin

I believe that just shuts the fuel pump off - but the starter will still crank.

Re: Van will not start!

Yeah I've been told that. One of the reasons I didn't think it was his problem. Nice to know for sure though. Thanks Ramsey.

Re: Van will not start!

Ah so it was a maintenance induced failure. Good to hear it only cost ego points instead of dollars to get it fixed.

And big of you to let everyone know what the problem was ( my ego won't let me do that)

But it does remind me of the time I walked about 5 miles back to the house because our old blitz had no drive. All because the dog knocked the hi/low box into neutral.

Re: Van will not start!

Ozrockrat,

If I had know about the kill switch, I would not have posted the real reason. It was only because I could blame it on SMB Texas for not telling me. I am just glad it happened in my driveway and not in the back country somewhere.
