Yes. I think (from memory- it's dark out now) that the starting battery box is connected to the house battery box, and that dissuaded the guy, who said he didn't have the time or the tools at the time.

Forgot about that issue. It's up to the installing contractors discretion when if comes to non-standard installs (That said, AAA pays for the extra time, so if they don't want to do it, it probably is either a tool or knowledge issue).

Since his/this van is a 7.3 isnt one under the hood and one on the frame rail?
Thats the standard factory Ford way on a 7.3 I thought.
6.0s moved both batteries the frame rail so there was room for the intercooler and pipes.

Carringb is correct about AAA contractors, they should do it and will get extra time for the job.
A lot of batteries these days are hard to change, they have to do something to pay the techs to change them.
Its one of your AAA benefits.
He probably didnt have the tools or know how to do it, or just plain didnt want to.
