Wiring solar with battery separator/isolator

I was wondering if I could get some tips on wiring up a solar kit. Do I wire it on the "house side" of the separator, or the "starting battery" side? My main concern is to charge the house batteries and run appliances, so am I correct to assume that I can wire it on the house side? I have searched around and read some threads/viewed some wiring diagrams and they were very helpful, just wanted a little final word.
Thanks!
C.
Hope you are enjoying a summer with your SMB!

House side is correct. That way, you can run all electrical stuff off the solar/house batteries and still charge the starting batteries after the house batteries reach 13.2V.

Re: Wiring solar with battery separator/isolator

Cool thanks! I ordered the stuff from wholesalesolar.com, they seem really nice and helped me get what I [i]think[i] I need. I'm powering 6 LED lights, the motors for the CCV poptop, a fridge and the fan on the furnace, I went with 140 watt panel with room for expansion. You think that's enough? It claims to produce around 500 AH a day, being that my house battery capacity is 212 AH I figured that would be sufficient. Though I am pretty ignorant when it comes to this stuff, so thanks for the help on this.

I have a 125W solar panel and similar (except a manual penthouse) and it keeps the batteries charged unless I'm heavily shaded. You should be fine.
