You might be OK, just have to make sure that the voltage doesn't drop below about 117. For safety reasons SMB suggests you use a 30 amp outlet when using the Starcool. As far as cords, you can purchase a correctly rated one at an RV shop. My van came with one and a pigtail to adapt to a standard house outlet but the pigtail isn't really designed for heavy loads. The amperage must be within rated tolerance but the voltage drop is whats really critical. Lower voltage causes the Starcool to pull higher amperage and puts more stress on your compressor. Thats a great idea about the heavy circuit that feeds your stove. Most of those are rated for 30 to 50 amps or more. I put in a typical RV panel at my house.
