Adding pop top to a stock e150?

Hi all. I've got a stock e150 that I'd like to add a pop top. I'm not very mechanical so I'd need to get it done professionally. I assume it's something SB could do for me, I was also wondering if there are other companies that could do it as well. Also how much does this usually cost?

Re: Adding pop top to a stock e150?

I just had mine done at SMB texas. Including bed it was just under $6k. There are not many options out there that I could find. Colorado campers (www.coloradocampervan.com) near Fort Collins does what looks like a nice job for less, but currently only modifies conversion van tops that are typically 8 inches or more higher than the stock top. SMB only adds a couple of inches.

The CCV owner has a thread here somewhere on one of his builds.

Wow I didn't think it would be that expensive. I was guessing more around 2k. Well thanks for letting me know.

That sound like a great idea. My wife and I are wanting one of these awesome vans and may have to go that route due to costs. Good luck and let us know how you do.
