Blackout curtains where to buy??

Looking for suggestions on where to buy black out curtains Or ideas on how to make easy ones without rods and all the extras. Something simple that deploys and stowaways easy is best.

The easiest attachment method is Velcro the second is snaps or magnets. You should be able to find blackout material at any fabric store.

Have you considered cutting out reflectix to stick up in your windows? It not only blocks the light, but keeps the heat out, helps insulate in the winter too.

I second this but I went a step further on my Transit build. I cut out Reflectix for every window and then got some black headliner material from a local fabric store. I glued the black material to the outside of each Reflectix piece so I have the insulating benefit but the appearance of perfectly black windows all the way around on the outside and just the Reflectix in the windshield. I think a black windshield would draw more attention and probably get so hot it would melt.

We are on about our third set of reflectix window covers over 10+ years. They work great and we just put them up over the bed/shelf area while traveling. Cut them fairly tight to the window size and stuff them in.

I purchased the Sun Shade set from High End Motorsports https://www.high-end-motorsports.com...sun-shade.html They fit the openings of the windows tightly enough the fact the suction cups don't work so well doesn't matter too much. Things I don't like is storing them, and the silver reflectix shows through my factory tinted windows. Perhaps I should glue some black cloth to the backs like 86Scotty did. I'm not a huge fan of the ambience created by reflectix type window coverings.

In my Vanagon I had reflectix coverings at first and swapped them out for actual curtains. The curtains created a warmer feel, were easier to deploy and no storage space taken up.

I keep thinking I should sew up some curtains for the Ford, but it's further down the priority list than other projects

that's the way to go. that's how I have my E350 windows done right now. They fit in the window perfectly and come down easily if needed.

We also used reflectix, sprayed fabric fasten on the inside and put fabric on it that matches the color of our interior and finished the edge by sowing it with fabric. It tucked into the window opening and looks great.
