Driver Powered Seat Swivel? Ford EB350 Diesel 4x4

Does anyone know if/how this can be done? I've been running into a lot of "No's"
I haven't been able to find anyone or a seat that can swivel, a power driver seat with the 4x4 gear handles next to the seat.
Any suggestions?

Cut and thread the 4x4 gear handles so you can unscrew them when you want to swivel the seat.

Sounds like that would work but two things...
1) I would lose leverage when trying to shift gears
2) But even if I did cut, I'm still unable to find an Swivel Adapter for my current Powered Seat or a new Powered Seat that will swivel for a Ford.

There's gotta be someone out there who has found a solution?

You do not reduce the lenght, you cut it and have a lever in 2 parts.

Driver Powered Seat Swivel? Ford EB350 Diesel 4x4

I just swiveled my passenger seat with a low profile dodge swivel from the eighties. Call van specialties as they can make this happen.

Mission accomplished!

My stock, powered, driver seat swivels without having to shorten or cut the 4x4 shifters.

This was a necessity for me, since I use my van daily for business meetings.

Done about eight months ago by Jeff at RVI in San Diego. I feel bad for not posting back then, but I wanted to make sure the custom job held up with plenty of use, and it has!

Everyone I spoke with, or met in person to show the van said it couldn't be done, or I'd have to cut the 4x4 shifter.

Jeff did the job, and did it well! No shifter cuts!

I know many SMB owners have used his services and now I know why.

I highly recommend him, especially when others say no!

That's great to know. ultrasport and I were wondering if this was possible a couple of weeks ago.

I scooped up a few OEM Ford swivel bases from a vintage Ford Chateau van for cheap. They're on my list of things to do during the winter.

I knew it could be possible but I also knew no one makes them. Did it change any of the angles or height? Nice job thanks for posting. Any pictures from under the seat? Did he build the right side swivel as well?

Thanks...

Thats one of the amazing thing here. I think about how to solve a problem or how to make improvements and somebody here has found already a solution.

Thanks!

Bummer...just noticed these questions from Jamie.

In case anyone else is wondering. Jeff at RVI had to special order the swivel base for my driver side powered seat, then he had to cut and weld. It was not an easy job, especially since it was his first, but he and his partner said they could do it, and they did.
The angle or height did not change. If it did, I can easily adjust.
The passenger side was stock with a non-powered swiveled base.
I'll try to take pictures and post tmw.
