If you're going between the rear bed cushion and the cabinet in the 50 (crates on the floor) keep in mind that this area is different widths and lengths depending on the 50's accouterments.

Here's link to the van crates at Petsmart.

Yeah, you can buy a lot of fermented grain products with the extra money!

You probably already saw my post on the collapsible kennel I use, but for just one dog.

Intro & request ya critique my order plans

I work in NYC and can bring my SMB with me one day, with prior arrangements, if you're willing to come down out of the hills. You're welcome to look mine over, although it's different from what you are planning to get.

Hey that would be great to get a look at your rig. And I actually come "down out of the hills" 5 days a week to my job in Manhattan. (I have the perfect schizophrenic life....dirt roads by night/Grand Central by day.)

Oh, and meant to reply to Buji as well. Yes, did notice your kennel post in the other thread. My main thing is to have a place to contain the dogs when we're on the road. Right now I use "pet lookout" car seats for the dogs. Seems safe, they like it, it keeps their heads at window height like they are people riding in the car. (worth the price of admission when we stop the Tahoe at a red light and folks see 2 rows of little dog heads riding behind us.)

Mike,

It was nice to meet you the other day. I'm guessing now than you've seen a SMB, you have a new list of questions.

Keep us posted on your build.

Yes, as Joey says I finally saw my first Sportsmobile up close and personal. (Thanks Joey!..as I said quite an impressive set up you have. I'm pretty sure it would qualify as an urban assault vehicle.) And, it gave me ideas for even more options. (which is a blessing and a curse as ya'll know.)

So yesterday the order for the van went in! (cue choir: "Oh Happy Day.")

Step one is taken: Huntington has placed my order for the Ford Van. Here are the specs:
Ford EB 350 v10 with 4x10 axle, limited slip, trailer tow pkg, reverse sensing, rv pkg, aux fuel port (in case I add generator later) and it's Pueblo Gold. (the ideal color if you live on a dirt road as I do - since that's the color it will wind up anyhow.) Needless to say I'm kinda excited.

Next steps will be finalizing quigley 4x4 options & then in January I visit Huntington and will finalize conversion options. Yeehaw! (as you see I live in NY but have some southern roots.)

Thanks everyone for your help whether directly or by my reading your great posts.
