Re: Leaking Fixed Top - Indiana Build
Coyotearms, My SMB is still under warranty till Nov. this year. (3 yr) That is how I got SMBW to replace the leaking windows. I will be taking it to SMBW this spring to address the leak. Also, I will post in another thread about paint pealing where they installed my windows.

Re: Leaking Fixed Top - Indiana Build
I wish you folks all the best with your warrenty work.
If you need a quality shop that will do what ever it takes
and stand behind his work, let me know. Shop is in San Diego
Issue there is "warrenty" and getting SMB to pay for it.
However, 'out of warrenty', would be a no brainer me think

Re: Leaking Fixed Top - Indiana Build
Angel, I wish we lived in Orange County to take advantage of SMBW!
Bill, We are on warranty, and San Diego is further away from Seattle than SMBW. Sounds like a quality shop though.

Re: Leaking Fixed Top - Indiana Build
coyotearms-sorry to hear about your problem- i hope sportsmobile can fix to your satisfaction.
I wonder you and angel have different builders and different cruiser tops yet same problem ?
my question to youmis something else. I am looking to do similiar to you(i think) and have one lower
bed and one overhead bed. do you have enough space in overhead bed(bottom to top).
also is it in sections or one piece. overcab or in rear. how comfortable. some interior pics of your rig would be appreciated.
thanks

The top Indiana put on is higher than the Cruiser Top. The upper bed is in the rear and in three pieces so it can be stacked and slid to the rear. We looked at a cruiser top van used before we went for new, and the space between the upper bed and top was just too small to be practical, From the top of the mattress to the ceiling ours is 23". I was planning to start a (proud) thread describing our van and provide some pictures, but I am so disappointed with the warranty support we are getting right now, that will have to wait. This one should do for now.

The distance from the top of upper bed cushion to the ceiling is 23", which is significantly more than an upper bed with the Cruiser Top. Pretty easy to just crawl to get your head at the rear and get out without disturbing your bunk mate. Upper cushions are thinner than on lower, but it is o.k. and if thicker, there would be less space.

Gerry, In case you are interested, I have put a number of pics on my gallery that were taken in July when we picked up the van.

Re: Leaking Fixed Top - Indiana Build
Just really looked at your interior pics. As someone who is vertically challenged (me) I would flip the upper cabinet doors around to make the pull knobs MUCH easier to reach. But I think I recall you mentioning you were tall, the reason you selected that top to begin with. Something to think about if you ever take kids, short people on any trips.
Looks great BTW.
