Great looking rig, you should bring it to the rally so we can check it out, it's only a short drive for you.

Did you have them do an interior build out too? Let's see the inside!

Re: New 2014 Quadvan heading to California for a RB34 Buildo

I went to Fresno Wednesday, I headed over to Montana De Oro that night, camped and rode my mountain bike in the morning. From there I headed up the coast on Ca 1, it was stunning. I encountered Seal Beach along the way too! It was awesome. I also saw a bunch of gumball 3000 cars under way, they were pretty sweet rigs for sure. I made it to San Jose that day to meet some friends for dinner and then headed north until Sacramento, when the stereo died!!! What a bummer. So, I went to sleep at a rest area, and checked the logistics, I was only 3.5 miles from Fresno, so at 6:30 am I headed back south to there. They spent most of the day dealing with that, and got me up and running better than new by around 3:30pm. I headed due north again, a day behind schedule.

I made it just short of the Oregon border, camped again at a rest area then headed into Oregon Sat morning, made it to McKenzie River trail by 1pm, rode hard for 4 hours, then resumed my journey. Met some friends in Portland about 8:30 for late dinner, then I headed home from there. Finally got home > 1700 miles after picking up the van and countless road hours. It was great! I made it home about 1am.

Welcoming sign (yes, I was super tired from being up too late excited, and up too early flying)

I am 6'4" tall for scale

First Mod when I got home was a caddy to keep cans from rattling around in the fridge

NICE! Congrats. Looks like Sherman's brother. Missed your build comments and questions, I would have chimed it about sleeping on the couch. I take the back of the couch and set it on the floor standing up, makes the couch an excellent bed.

HAVE FUN!

Re: New 2014 Quadvan heading to California for a RB34 Buildo

My first post... fantastic build Prally, we're almost twins!

February of this year I found myself in need of replacing my truck with canopy / race car tow vehicle. I decided a 4x4 SM style van was what I needed... and it had to be black to match my trailer and race car. The van you posted as your inspiration is the very same van that triggered the $$ release button on me.

After a full OCD deep dive study into SM's, Quigleys and Quadvans I ended up buying the Black 2014 Quiqley passenger van from Newberg Ford in Oregon mid April. Being late to the game all the V10's were gone but the 5.4L should be adequate for my 6-8 races a year.

Your low cabinet build out is exactly what I want to do. Still not sure on when I'll do a pop top but I plan to own this thing for years so my build will be done as time allows. I've been RB50 biased but the full walk thru of your RB34 build has changed my mind.

Only thing I've done so far is add Bushwhacker flares that I sprayed with black Plasti Dip.
