Good grief, I really want a Penthouse top for my van, but after reading about all the problems with them (of course SMB West says they are all great), I am thinking a fixed top might be the better way to go. Thoughts?

After all that, I was like, no way on GGE I would ever drive to Colorado, fly back home, fly back to Colorado, and then drive home with a top that may or may not work properly, then deal with bad customer service.
If anyone has more info on the quality of their work (good or bad), please feel free to post up or PM me.
Here's a pic. The fiberglass is flush on the other three sides. Rubber gasket is currently off
I would remove that air deflector that is mounted to the front of the top to check and make sure it is not distorting the shape of the top. If that is not the case then the top was not trimmed to match your vans roof. In that case the front latches will not draw it down. You could re fiberglass the front and trim it to fit.
