Question on Danhard location in an RB-50

I'm just starting the process of getting a new SMB built. I've searched the forums for an answer to this question but can't seem to find the answer. I've trying to figure out where the Danhard AC goes inside the van on an RB-50. I know the AC vents are the 4 vents on the top of the wall cabinets but I am not sure where the Danhard unit goes.

I'm linking in a forum members gallery picture of their RB-50 build. In the picture there are two pieces of hardware shown along the drivers side of the van, one under the bench and one in the back corner near the driver's side rear cargo door. I believe one of these is the Danhard and one is the propane heater.

My uneducated guess is the the one under the bench is the Danhard. That seems a little odd to me if that is the case, since it looks like it would be venting the hot air into the cabin under the bench.

Can anyone tell me which is which?

Thanks,
Mike

Re: Question on Danhard location in an RB-50

Okay, maybe to answer my own question, it seems the Danhard is a two part system so part of it is installed under the van. That would explain not having to vent the internal part to the exterior.

It would still be nice to have confirmation on which part in the picture is the Danhard internal piece.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: Question on Danhard location in an RB-50

What your looking at there is the propane heater in the rear of the van and the a/c evaporator toward the front. The condensor should be mounted under the van with the compressor when running the a/c off of shore power. That's how it worked with my Starcool and that evaporator looks very similar to what I had. Air is drawn in from the front, cooled via the evaporator coils and flows out the upper vents.
