Skreenz Group Buy interest?

Following up on the previous discussion of window screens, would you be interested in pursuing the possibility of a Skreenz Group Buy, if the company is willing? Haven't talked to the company about this, so I have no idea what discount might be available. I'm just looking to gauge interest at this point, and am not looking for commitments.

"Skreenz" is actually just one guy who does it out of his home in Phoenix.

When I bought multiple sets he included an extra bag for each set, thus instead of 2 skreenz per bag I can have 1 skreen(z) per bag. Not a big windfall but it worked for me.

I'd go ahead and ask and get the order in, no doubt he'll be busy with summer coming.

Heard back from Chuck, the owner of Skreenz (now in North Carolina).

Basically, a Group Buy discount will be:

10% off the $55 list price for a pair of Skreenz for 10 orders of one design

- or --

20% off the $55 list price for a pair of Skreenz for 25 orders of one design

The packing and freight charge of $9 still applies to each order.

I still have to work through the logistics of how I'll handle the ordering, but I likely won't post that til this weekend. I've been painting my living room and dining room, and I'm now midway through laying laminate flooring in those areas.

We'll need to make sure we have enough of any one design (Ford van vs Chevy van,...) to qualify. I'll have to ask Chuck what model years for the Ford vans are the same.

=========================

Here's Chuck's e-mail back to me:

Herb,

Thanks for your inquiry.

We have participated in several group purchases over the years.
It works best for us if one person places the order for all the Skreenz at one time and pays for all of them at once to save on bookkeeping costs. We then ship each pair of Skreeenz to each individual on the submitted group purchase list.
Our minimum for a group purchase is 10 Skreenz of any one design... Our group purchase discount is 10% unless there are more than 25 Skreenz of one type which then would qualify for a 20% discount. The discount applies only to the $55 cost of a pair the Skreenz and not the $9 packing and freight charges.

Since I own private winery, I have offered a bottle of wine to anyone who personally drops by and picks up their Skreenz.

Cheers!

Mike,

Does this mean you're in for two sets?

Make it so, oh Bronco Hauler. I will join in as well. Let me know where to send the check.

You can't have enough ventilation in an SMB in the summer!
