Can the electric top be lifted with things on the roof? What is the max weight that it can handle? I have a roof rack up there and want to know if its worth putting things up there only to take it down all the time.
I know ours is able to handle an A7 in-motion satellite dish and two solar panels with no problems. We are also expecting to be ableto have a gear box up there.

Handling in the down position is different from lifting AFIK. I think the standard operating procedure over 50-75lbs (??) is to unload most or all things from the PH before raising.
Peter at SMB told me 250lbs. I have had my yakima rack, yakima large box filled with about 30 lbs and my portable boat (about 60 lbs) and two of the lighter weight solar panels. No problem.
