I wonder if shutting a single layer of good quality screen in the door wouldn't be a good solution. You could probably overcome the problem of it not sealing tight enough to the bottom of the window by having it be a long piece, have it reach down to the arm rest.

Where do you get go quality screen material?

I bought the SMB screens and also have a problem with the Velcro coming off. They have tried to re-glue it but it still keeps coming off. A lot of money for something that dosen't work well. I'm thinking the magnet idea and found these magnets are strong, rubber coated and have a slot for a strap.

They hold my voltmeter and are made by Fluke.[/img]

Usefulness of side& rear door screens

A bit off subject but about screens. We ordered the front grille screen that attaches with velcro at the top and stretch straps at the bottom. This is a bug screen that can be attached in minutes for summer use in bug country. It will protect the front grille, but more importantly, the radiator and oil cooler. It is made by the same folks who do the side/rear screens for SMB. It too is pricey at 90+- $, but quality and these folks do all the screens for the major makers of motorhomes.

Made a screen curtain similar to the one pictured a few posts above for our side door. Use magnets to secure the material on the sides.
Also did purchase the skreenz for the front door windows.

Group buy

Lobo_q3a,

The group buy at Skreenz just finished. Do a forum search and see the whole thread. You may want to give them a call and see if he will have you fit under the wire. 10% off.

We are in the process of bulding/sewing up a set of screens for the side and rear doors of our SMB.

We are sewing flat magnet strips into the edge of the screens.

Will let you know how it comes out....

I bought 3 army screens off eBay and fashioned some things, however we haven't needed them yet so I have not written anything up.
