Wait times

I'm amazed at how long folks will wait for a highly customized SMB. Our friend in town who bought his back in 2002 waited nine months for his rig.

Our basic EB50 took just 59 days from start to finish last summer, but we passed on any difficult customization.

Ed, long wait times seem to be the norm at SMB West. Even longer for floorplans other than EB/RB50. They quoted 9 months for our van.

Then we contacted SMB Indiana and got a 3 month quote, including time to order the van! And it is a custom floorplan and we spent some time on the phone and via email working out the details with them. The van was finished ontime!

I have nothing but good things to say about SMB, West or Indiana. My only issue was the leadtimes in CA caused by the vans being so popular.

I'm at 7 months, and have a fairly custom build. I'm picking it up this Friday (yipee!).

Ford was responsible for probably 2-3 months of my delay, to be honest. The quote time I was continually given was 10-12 weeks after SMBW got the van, and that's held about true.
