worried about fitment: installing side steps on 2008 E-350 after fender flares

question to those of you who know already:

i have Bushwacker fender flares on my 2008 E-350 and want to install these side steps: Ionic 61 Series Black Running Boards

the steps i want are apparently 100" but i measure only 98" available between them, so not knowing exactly how the steps and the flares line up maybe someone has already navigated through this and knows from first-hand experience if these will work together or not.
