Alunminess Nerf Bar Price Hike!?

I haven't looked at these in a few months but was getting ready to pull the trigger on some.

Is it me or were they like $495 last year??

They are listed at $695 now... ouch.

Yes, they went up. I always thought they were cheap compared to the rest of the Aluminess line-up and wondered why.

I would use the "search" feature and look for a couple of other folks making nerf bars...they look sturdy and pretty cool....

Never mind... I remember looking at the ATS Edge series another member had on a similar van as mine and they looked pretty sweet for the money. I could probably get those, Bushwackers, and installation for what those Aluminess are going for...

The N-fab bars are roughly $400 and look nice, only downside I could think of is that the step portion is not full length so you may find yourself searching for footing when climbing out the passenger side door.

I just found some "Ionic" from RunningBoardWarehouse.com for just under $400 also. They look like the ATS Edge.

FWIW - the strongest nerf bars are the ones built by U-haul. Those suckers are STOUT and so are the mounting bracket. You could probably lift the van by them.

I see them on craigslist occasionally, and Uhaul does sell parts retail.

Thanks for the tip. I have seen those but they are massive. I'm not lifted and only have like 245 tires on the van so those would stick out way too far. I was looking for something a bit more flush.

Note that the installation kit is sold separately for those bars. I saw $140 on one site.
