That's a good alternative to this. A little cheaper as well.

Thanks but I contacted Skreenz, they said they won't fit because I have rain visors.

Re: Anyone tried the Skeeterbeaters?

Skeeter beater looks nice for the pop open windows of the van. It would be nice if they would make some kind of screen with door for the side doors.

Re: Anyone tried the Skeeterbeaters?

I have these also. After a 10 day camping trip where the wind blew them off the vehicle a few times I contacted them. They are making new screens for the ford vans as of Feb. 1

They use magnets sewn into netting which attach to door around window. the prob. was screen was too small and mag. was on edge so if it moved a little bit the magnet lost contact. Hope they can fix this prob. with a little R & D

They are sending me a new set when finished.

Re: Anyone tried the Skeeterbeaters?

are you talking about for the side doors or front? I need a good alternative for the side and rear doors. I'm always camping in mosquito & flying insect ridden locations... aka near rivers Good for fishing - bad for sleeping.

Re: Anyone tried the Skeeterbeaters?

SMB has a screen for the side doors, I sold mine because I didn't like the functionality. The same thing can be used on the rear doors, but there are a few problems. I bought some army surplus tent netting and rig it up around the rear door really easily, although I have a heck of a time getting the bottom of the side step/door well secure and am waiting for warmer weather to revisit the project.

More on the SMB solution:

Re: Anyone tried the Skeeterbeaters?

I bought Jage's side screen and did a simple mod. Worked awesome the few times I used it. Here is the LINK:http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/vie...=27263&#p27263
