Door Talon "+"

I got my door Talon and the installation was fast, fun and easy. I made it a Talon "+" [photo]IMG1456[/photo] by adding a 2" strip of door-edge-guard to allow the Talon to have a nice snug fit on the fender flange. The door-edge-guard was left over from the strip I put on the stove top to keep the rattle down to a minimum [photo]IMG14561[/photo]. Also in the stove top photo is my bubble level. This location for the bubble level, tacked down with silicone glue, was an unused portion of the cabinet top, near the middle of the van , and seems to give an accurate evaluation of levelness for the bedding, sink, etc.

Re: Door Talon "+"

Sorry for the multiple post ... finely figured out the right photo number to put between the brackets.

Enjoy.

Don't you find it quite difficult to be twisted around backwards to see the level while you're maneuvering the van?

You beat me to it Jeffrey. I have that same bubble level and just place it on the console (between the cupholders) when I need to level. I use the same spot every time, simple and accurate.

Re: Door Talon "+"

If you are by your lonesome then you do have to kind of get up and turn around to get the picture. But usually it's just to help tell where to put the leggo blocks, so you have to stop and get out anyway. My idea has been to move it, but, hey, it works!

Re: Door Talon "+"

Philip, That door edge looks clean. I would think that it could also work if the van had the Bushwacker fenders flares.
