Door Talon News

I wanted to announce that I have finally put together a longer Door Talon. For those of you out there that the original design wouldn't accommodate your van, I've come up with the

Door Talon Extended.

I will post better pics soon.

The reason for the two hooks is that if there were only one, it would be near impossible to install the stow cleat because it would be so deep in the door. With the two hook design the stow cleat is mounted in the same location as on the original Talon.

I have installed 3 of them so far and they're working out quite well.

I will be charging the same for this new design $35, shipping included. If your interested in one PM me.

Thanks,
John

Re: Door Talon News

I like it. I need it. Yea! No more bungee cords holding the door open. The cords look so tacky hanging from my doors.

Re: Door Talon News

It took the pro 5 minutes with a bunch of people watching and asking questions.

Easy must have

It's not a difficult install. It takes some basic tools (drill motor, screwdriver, some sockets....). The kit comes with detailed instructions and if you would like I can send you a pdf of then in advance so you can look them over to make sure you will be comfortable doing it. Just PM me.
Cheers,
John

Re: Door Talon News

It took me a non pro about 10 minutes to mount it or less. Great addition to the SMB.

Thank you John. I'm going to put it on my Xmas list. Even the wife thinks the bungee is tacky, but it works for now. I have the necessary tools and look forward to it.

Re: Door Talon News

I ordered my Talon this morning. Oh look! I just spent more money on my Sportsmobile. How weird is that?

Re: Door Talon News

Why wouldn't the original design work on some vans?
