These look like they work great, but it's clear they are simply lengths of what we call Chemgrate. Available in ton's of different configurations, sizes and colors. I've seen scraps for sale at used equipment / industrial recyclers too. One would need to study the specs though to make sure you got some that's strong enough to hold up your van. Cutting the stuff is a chore too, it will eat up the blade on your saw pretty quickly.

A similar alternative but a bit safer than metal is the trac grabber. Same idea and they have a big truck tire version as well.

FYI, reviews on Amazon for those cheaper rubber tracgrabbers are kind of middling. Seems a fair number of people report breaking them. (At least one picture of torn rubber traction pad.)

It also gave me an idea for a traction board,I’m about to change my Ktm dualsport tires and I think I’m going to take some weather treated board from Home Depot & cut the tire so I can screw down/flatten out(I think it could work good having semi worn knobbies gripping against all terrain type tires instead of just smooth all season tire scraps from local shop,i will post some pics here when I’m done in about a month and might even try doing a small video on the beach in mex.it might even be worth a few laughs! If it does end up working you can get free tires from any local performance shop or motocross track as they are always laying around.the max Trax look real nice mounted on rigs but it pisses me off that if your tire spins they wear out so quick(it seems).

Of course, every user and situation is unique and online reviews are an easy portal for all blabbermouths. I don't expect miracles but common sense and lot's of experience in 'getting out' will help in using these properly. Seems a good addition to the MaxTrax, Treds, winch, highlift with wheel lifter and shovels that I usually carry. Even some mud can be a challenge. And the manufacturer is selling them for less than any ebay deal or seller I saw. $99 for 4 that will fit my 35" tires.

They allowed 2 weeks to order with the discount below.
At least they finally made a decision...This is the offer they decided on:
Discount code is SPORTSMOBILE2018 for $30 off TruckClaws II and TruckClaws II with Extender Bar Kits. Code applies to as many units as they add to cart. Offer expires 3-27-2018 11:59pm Eastern.

Regards,
Nick
I have no affiliation, just became a conduit for them to address the members on this Forum. $30 off isnt bad, IMO they certainly are a quality product
